HON. KELECHI NWOGU APPOINTED CHAIRMAN, HOUSE AD-HOC COMMITTEE ON INVESTIGATION OF TAX DEDUCTIONS AND MULTIPLE BANK CHARGES IN NIGERIA BY THE SPEAKER OF HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, DR. JAJUDEEN ABBAS
During plenary today, the member representing Etche/Omuma Federal Constituency, Hon. Kelechi Nwogu, was appointed as the Chairman of the House of Representatives Ad-hoc Committee set up to investigate the deductions of taxes and sundry charges from civil and public servants’ earnings, as well as multiple bank charges on customers’ accounts in Nigeria.
This appointment underscores Hon. Nwogu’s proven record of integrity, competence, and commitment to social justice. The committee’s mandate is to examine the increasing concerns raised by Nigerians over unexplained deductions from salaries, unauthorised bank charges, and other financial irregularities that continue to affect workers and ordinary citizens across the country.
