The Chairman of Etche Local Government Area, Chief. Hon. Chima Boniface Njoku, JP, on Thursday met with officers of the Nigerian Forest Security Services, Vigilante Group of Nigeria, and other local security formations, including the Etche Security Advisory Planning Committee (ESPAC), Tiger Squad, and Lion Squad, in a bid to enhance local security coordination and community safety.
During the meeting held at the Council Secretariat in Okehi, Hon. Njoku charged the security outfits to intensify their efforts in crime prevention, intelligence gathering, and rapid response operations across the Local Government Area.
He assured them of his administration’s continuous support and partnership in ensuring that Etche remains peaceful, secure, and conducive for development.
In a related development, staff of the Etche Local Government Education Authority paid a courtesy call to the council chairman to formally familiarize themselves with his administration.
The delegation, led by senior education officers, narrated key challenges and areas of need within the local education sector and sought the Council’s intervention in improving the system.
Responding, Hon. Chima Njoku pledged to work closely with the Education Authority to address pressing issues and strengthen collaboration towards achieving better educational outcomes in Etche.
He reaffirmed that his administration remains committed to security, education, and community development, describing them as essential pillars for progress in Etche Local Government Area.
