Popular Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has taken to social media to react as her industry rival Funke Akindele’s film “Behind The Scene” garners 2.1 billion in cinemas.

Recall Entertainment Region reported that Funkẹ Akindele officially became Africa’s highest-grossing filmmaker of all time.

“Behind The Scenes” has also officially become the first Nollywood Film in Africa to cross the ₦2 Billion mark, according to filmoneng.

The movie also becomes the highest-grossing Nollywood film of all time in Africa, the UK, and Ireland and makes her the first filmmaker to rank number 1 at the box office in Africa for three consecutive years.

As Funke Akindele celebrated a new milestone in the movie industry, Toyin Abraham also took to her Instagram page on Sunday, January 12, 2025, to announce the success of her film, Oversabi Aunty, which has grossed ₦863 million at the cinemas.

The actress expressed excitement over the achievement, noting that it is the first time one of her movies has recorded such an impressive box office performance.
