The Osun State Government has unveiled Imole Wi-Fi, a free public internet initiative designed to improve digital access for students, residents, businesses, and communities across the state.

Announced by the State Commissioner for Information and Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, the project aims to expand opportunities in sectors like education, health, agriculture, and commerce.

The first phase of the rollout will provide connectivity at strategic public locations such as the Osun State Library, Alphastart Hub, Osun Mall, Salvation Army Middle School, Osogbo Grammar School, and facilities under the Ministry of Innovation, Science, Technology, and Digital Economy.

Governor Ademola Adeleke described Imole Wi-Fi as “a gateway to opportunity”, highlighting its role in breaking down digital barriers and supporting economic growth.

The state’s Special Adviser on ICT, Azeez Badmus, confirmed that more locations and government services will be added in subsequent phases, positioning Osun as a national leader in digital inclusion. The initiative marks a significant step toward building a connected and empowered digital future for all residents of Osun State.
